KSSL and Paramount unveil Simha 4x4

Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the wholly owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, and Paramount, has unveiled Simha 4x4, a next generation Light Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle, at Eurosatory 2026. Developed to address the rapidly evolving mobility, protection and mission requirements of armed forces in India, Africa, South Asia and other global markets, the Simha 4x4, is an ab initio design – that “delivers a uniquely capable multi-purpose platform”. Combining power, agility and protection, the Simha 4x4 is best suited for a mix of urban warfare and on and off-road reconnaissance. “Building on proven aggregates, its modular architecture allows easy upgrades, customisations and modifications enabling users to streamline and optimise their supply and MRO lines”.

Agneyastra Energetics Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) announced the groundbreaking of its strategic defence manufacturing facility near Madakasira in Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh. Spread across more than 1,000 acres, the integrated campus will be developed with a planned investment of Rs. 1,500 crore over the next 2–4 years. Designed with “advanced manufacturing technologies, high safety testing infrastructure, and specialised logistics capabilities, the facility will significantly enhance India’s indigenous capabilities in advanced energetics and ammunition systems critical to modern defence and aerospace applications”.

Bharat Forge MoU for marine gas turbine facility

Bharat Forge Limited has signed an MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish India’s first private sector Marine Gas Turbine Repair, Overhaul and Indigenous Development facility at Visakhapatnam. The proposed facility, to be developed through Bharat Forge’s Aerospace division within the Andhra Pradesh Defence Manufacturing Corridor, will strengthen India’s indigenous naval propulsion ecosystem and support the country’s long term defence self-reliance objectives. The project will include advanced repair and overhaul capabilities, indigenous marine gas turbine development infrastructure and a full spectrum testing ecosystem, while also generating approximately 750 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

KSSL unveils the MArG Series of 155mm 4×4 mounted artillery guns

Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) introduced its line of Mounted Artillery Guns, the MArG series, on the opening day of Eurosatory 2026. Truck mounted and built for manoeuvre, the MArG series delivers a mobile, rapidly deployable and cost-optimised firepower solution for modern land forces. The MArG series is a comprehensive family of 4×4 mounted 155mm artillery systems, engineered to give armed forces a single, common platform across three calibre configurations: MArG 39 (39 calibre), MArG 45 (45 calibre) and MArG 52 (52 calibre).

Embraer names Bharat Forge as new supplier

 

Embraer and Bharat Forge Limited announced the signing of a contract for the supply of forged raw materials. This agreement represents Embraer’s first forged raw material supply contract with an Indian supplier and marks an important milestone in strengthening the partnership between the two companies. The agreement supports Embraer’s global supply chain with high quality forged products and reinforces the company’s strategy of expanding and diversifying its supplier base, while fostering industrial capabilities in key growth markets.

 

KSSL and AM General sign strategic partnership


Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) has signed a strategic partnership with AM General, a leading military vehicle mobile defence capabilities provider at Eurosatory defense exposition. This strategic partnership between AM General and KSSL addresses the requirement of modern armies of the world in an evolving combat scenario equipping them with compact, robust, light weight, ruggedizsed, mobile, all weather, all terrain Next-Gen Mounted Artillery gun platforms, with a distinct competitive edge. There are numerous opportunities globally, and the partnership is intended to support broader allied distribution, positioning the platform as a scalable, exportable artillery solution for partner nations seeking modern, mobile and survivable 155mm fires capability.

Leveraging this strategic partnership, AM General has also offered a proposal to participate in the US Army Mobile Tactical Cannon (MTC) programme. The proposal to the US Government includes the development and delivery of a 155mm MTC solution based on the mature, combat relevant architecture of KSSL’s mounted artillery gun platform, with delivery planned in 2027 upon its down selection.

KSSL and NAMMO in LoI

At Eurosatory 2026, Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited hosted a NAMMO delegation led by Karl Edström. Aligned with the Nordic Security of Supply mandate and the EU Re-Arm initiative, Bharat Forge Kilsta AB signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) document with NAMMO Sweden AB towards supply of large calibre sub-systems. Leveraging its rich automotive and industrial legacy, Bharat Forge Kilsta AB, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd, offers its “fullest commitment to expand manufacturing capabilities and add production capacities to contribute to the strategic objectives of Sweden and the greater Nordic region and Europe.
